The prime goal of these libraries is to provide quality health care information to support and strengthen the university and hospitals’ academic, research and patient care programs.

To fulfil the ZU Academic, Research and Clinical requirements, a sufficient collection of Books, Journals and Non-Book material is available in the related libraries. Online: Databases: More than 3,000 (including HEC) full Text Journals on all related subjects are accessible from the all campuses of ZU.

 

Library Facilities:

All ZU libraries have appropriate seating arrangements with well equipped computers.

 

Library Services:

  • Instant information of incoming literature with their table of contents is disseminating to the faculty and students.
  • Disseminating the information of recent publications of the faculty member (author) among the all faculty members.
  • Provide technical support in the use of Anti Plagiarism Software “Turnitin” in the university.
  • Issuing certificate of originality of the research.
  • Literature Search, Reference Management, Citation Verification, Newspapers Clipping, Reprographic, Reference Services, ILL, DD, User training for literature search and management .

 

Library Operations:

  • National Library of Medicine (NLM) Classification Scheme is being used to classify the library literature.
  • Anglo-American Cataloging Rules and MARC system are being used for cataloging.
  • To organize, search, disseminate and circulate the library literature, the KOHA Software is using in the libraries. The KOHA software is also being used as database and to develop the networking systems.
