2nd Skills and Drills Workshop in Obstetrics was conducted by Dr. Tasneem Aslam Tariq Representative of Royal College of Gynecologists, it was a huge success and was attended by participants from Karachi and Hyderabad.
A CME on NEUROTRAUMA CHALLENGES AND EMERGENCYRESPONSE was organized by the Dept. of Emergency Medicine and Neurosurgery(North Campus) the event was well attended by the experts.
An exclusive sound designing workshop was held at Ziauddin Media School (Institute of Communication and Media Studies) on 1st June 2016. The workshop was conducted by Masood Alam; Head of Music department and organized by Ms Sadia; Assistant Program Manager, Institute of Communication and Media Studies.

Ziauddin Media School (ICMS) organized the “1st Ziauddin Film Festival at its campus”. This Film Festival was held on Saturday, May 21, 2016 at Abul Hasan Jafarey Auditorium, Ziauddin University, Clifton campus. The objective of the film festival was to give student filmmakers the opportunity to display and promote their work.

Ziauddin University awarded over 300 degrees to the graduating students for various disciplines at the 14th convocation, held at the Expo Centre.
Convocation 2017 marked a milestone for ZCOMS as this year its first batch graduated; a proud moment for Ziauddin University. Ziauddin College of Media Sciences was inaugurated in 2013 with the mission to train the young minds to be curious and creative and instill it with a distinct understanding of media and the courage to act on its beliefs. ZCOMS envisions communication and media as the ultimate bridge between endowments and entitlements. ZCOMS 1st batch convocation was an electrifying moment as this was the first batch that had placed the cornerstone for a media department in Ziauddin University being the most senior batch. Bidding farewell is the absolute toughest thing to do because you have to walk away with just a memory and after a while that memory fades. We hope and pray that ZCOMS would bid farewell to more batches year after year for decades to come.
Second year BDS students of Batch VII along with senior faculty of Community Dentistry Dept went to “Prime Rose Public School & Saad Grammer School” Sikandrabad, Shireen Jinnah colony on 17th April 2017.The trip was headed by Dr.Sidra Mohiuddin (Assist Prof), arranged by Dr.Asfand Yar (Lect and School Coordinator) in collaboration with Colgate Pamolive Pakistan. During the trip dental checkups were performed by second year BDS students under the supervision of senior faculty. However, dental education messages along with proper brushing techniques demonstration was disseminated by Dr.Sidra Mohiuddin and Dr.Sarah Mishbah (Lect in Dept).These community trips are initiations of the series of oral health education program planned by the department with the aim to reduce oral health inequalities from the under-privilege areas adjacent to the University.
